Curious? ? ? George Returns to Roughers

Eddie George was welcomed back with open arms by the Reddog Rougher's coach, Michael Wagner, Tuesday Morning.

He had a nice break from the stress that built up in the locker room the last few weekends, but I am sure he is glad to be back. George had been replaced by Marcus Allen of the Kansas City Chiefs when this all started with no hint to a temporary layoff.

"I may have been a little hasty letting all my team go last week. I admit, I should have taking my own advice about not only looking at one game to determine who goes and who stays." commented Coach Wagner when asked about the sudden return of Eddie George.

George brought in a touchdown run on his temporary split with the Rougher's but Coach Wagner denies that being the sole reason he was asked back.

"With the strict restrictions that our Commish put on us about having our teams ready by a certain date before the playoffs, I had to put personal feelings aside and think of the team' needs first. And the new, as well as, the old team was glad to have him back."

The final decision of the trade is yet to be determined by the Commish, but I have not heard of anyone picking him up since he was released. It is going to be a tough game next week for the Reddog Rougher's. They play the favored underdog, the Papa's, in week 11. It could mean another turn-around for the Roughers or the boot to fourth or fifth place in the league. No matter what they are going to have to score a lot better than they have for the last two weeks. Can Brunnel and Vinatiri keep the team afloat? . . . Who Knows, but the Roughers have a good team made up of the highest ranked teams in the NFL; San Fransico, NY Jets, Tampa Bay, Denver, Seattle, Oakland, and Jacksonville.
