Coach Wagner Correct on Final Showdown. . . Call Guinness!

Coach of the Reddog Roughers predicted who would finally be head to head in the finals before the end of the first playoff.

In a previous issue, this AFT Reporter printed:

“Coach Wagner pointed out that there was still a good chance that the Papa’s and the Roughers could fight it out for the championship. . .”

“I had a hard time sitting still while I was battling Glenn’s Gorillas in the Playoff’s tie breaker.” Commented Coach Wagner. The Roughers had to score first in order to make it to the next round of the playoff against their infamous rival, Plunk’s Pack.

The Roughers kicker, Venatieri from New England, managed to kick his first extra point within 2.24 minutes of the first quarter. Coach Glenn’s Quarterback from Oakland also scored in the first quarter, but not until about approximately between .02 and .18 minutes later. It was very close. The only other player he had that scored in the first quarter was his Jacksonville kicker, Hollis. However, Coach Wagner’s Quarterback had just scored before Hollis kicked the extra point.

The Papas’ commanding lead on the other leg of the playoffs secured their position in the final go-around. They scored around 24 points with most of their [players equally participating]. No-Shows’ Oakland players had a hard time getting near the endzone paralyzing their score at a mediocre 17.

A funny thing happened to one of the players on Coach Mathe’s faithful team that didn’t make it out of round one. Rice, one of her best Receivers, returned from a knee injury to play and help San Francisco defeat Elway and the Denver Broncos.

That defeat help keep Plunk’s Pack’s score down to only a total of eleven allowing the Roughers to squeeze by with the victory once again over Coach Plunkett. Coach Wagner scored 27 points the highest of all the players as the majority of his team also contributed.

Will the Roughers relinquish their lucky winning streak to Papas’ Kordell Stewart’s run of luck? Or will the flippant coach of the Roughers and 3 point underdogs pull out one more victory to become league champions? Be at the party next Monday, the 22nd, at Glenn’s house to find the answer!
