More Roughers Get The Boot!

Rating: Thankful that Roughers have company at the bottom...Thanks Glenn!

With the constant coming and going of many of the Reddog Roughers players, it is hard to know who to root for on Monday nights even for their own coach.

The Roughers have had a hard struggle to stay off the bottom of the league ever since the beginning of the season. Coach Wagner has tried every conceivable lineup and almost played every available player in the NFL. Yet he has failed to find a successful path to the top to join his comrades in the AFT-HES Western Division who have been the leaders of this league for weeks.

Week twelve was an even more devastating when Brunnell, his soon-to-be former quarterback from Jacksonville let him down yet again only capturing 4 points for the week and letting The Pack scurry away with the victory.

There has been a rumor that Coach Wagner will be fired from the league and a selection committee is being put together to find a new Coach for the Reddog Roughers. To top it off Coach John Blake looks like a pretty good candidate.

In a statement prepared by Coach Wagner's press secretary who wanted to remain nameless stated, "Coach Wagner has put a lot into getting HIS team ready for the playoffs. It doesn't matter where you are in the rankings. The team dead last can still come away with the victory. I have recommended every available player that even OU would consider. Get'n rid of the coach ain't going to solve not'n'! The coach is basically the only person thing left on the team that was there at the beginning of the Reddog Roughers."

Fun Quiz: OU's Coach, formerly known as John Blake, was let go WITH PAY because he could not produce a winning team. Is it the coach or the players. Which comes first, the chicken or the eggs?

"It isn't the coach....It's the players." Responded Coach Plunkett defending his wesern division after their 26 point win over their fine-feathered comrades, the Roughers.

After coming off of a losing streak, Coach Rachel of the Rebel Rousers showed that they still have what it takes to win.

"Losing streak?! How can YOU call my losing two measely games (The Pack & The Papas) a losing streak? Especially since they were not consecutive losses.....because I beat The Roughers in-between them!" Responded Coach Rachel.

Coach Wagner of the Reddog Roughers responded, "True. But does that win really count. Everyone and their dog, except Coach Robertson, can beat this team."

Coach Rachel only had this to say to their loss to the Pack and Coach Plunkett's latest stab at being a reporter, "I let him (The Plunk) win!" She had no comment about her loss to the Papa's.

The Rebels came back big with a win over Glenn's Gorillas keeping them locked in the basement with the Roughers.

"I would just like to say thanks to Coach Muske for keeping me company down here. I feel for Coach Muske. I think we will start our own little watering hole where we can drown our sorrows. Who would have thought that former Coach Jennifer's Cheeseheads would have had such a great season. Is this beginner's luck or what?!" Stated Coach Wagner.

The Roughers thought they had a hard week last week only bringing in four points, but it was nothing compared to what Gorillas had coming out of week 11. None of their players that he played produced a single point.

Coach Glenn has got to be kicking himself over the decision to bench his newly acquired runningback, Emmett Smith, recently released from the Roughers. Smith scored 18 points after getting away from Coach Wagner.

"One thing wrong with the Gorilla's is that their quarterback, George from Oakland, hasn't scored a single point all season and Coach Glenn has yet to switch over to his secondary. His other quarterback Manning has a total of 32 points for the entire season." Commented Coach Wagner.

Another missed opportunity to increase their total points was with Coach Johnson of the No Shows.

Coach Wagner pointed out to this reporter that she played her quarterback, Randall Cunningham of Minnesota, who brought in only 8 points this last week while her secondary raked in the points with a total of 24 points."

No Shows were able to slip by with the win over Coach Robertson's Papas by 3 points and able to decide their close race for third place in the league standings.

Papa's Terrell Davis from Denver has consistantly scored one or two touchdowns for the past 4 weeks. However, the real test is next week's game against the Roughers who haven't lost a game to Coach Robertson yet. Coach Robertson continues to say he is just trying to be nice.

Coach Wagner responded, "I think (Terrell) Davis is on a regular cycle. He does good for four games and then wears himself out. Also, his problem is that he keeps using Hollis of Jacksonville as his kicker who rarely scores in the double digits."

With all the research that Coach Wagner has at his disposal and his analysis of the league's players, it seems weird that he can't get past 4th place.
