Rating: NR (Not for Rachel)
After Terrell Davis's rest during last weeks game against the Roughers, Davis was able to come through with three rushing touchdowns. Coach Robertson's Papa's then snatched the win away from Coach Rachel Sunday night by only one point.
"Every one of my players scored!" Exclaimed Coach Rachel as she pestered this reporter to hurry up and tally the points. She had been feeling real good about her magnificent 60 points until . . . THE PAPA'S!
All the players on the Papa's team didn't necessarily do well, but those that did scored at least two points. Coach Robertson could not have been happier and surprised that once again he set the all time high total score as he did at the beginning of the season.
"What a way end the season. . . Great Showing!" commended The Papa's rival, Coach Wagner. "However, if Rebel Rousers could have beat Coach Robertson, I would have moved up to 4th place right behind the undisputed champion of the Eastern Division, Coach Johnson."
By his praise of the Papa's, you could tell Coach Wagner of the Reddog Roughers was in a good mood after their massacre of the Gorillas Sunday night. The Roughers have had a tough season since the "get-go." They have tried every player combination, good luck/bad luck charm, voo doo, and other practices to bring in a winning team. The only one that seems to be effected at all is Coach Robertson who doesn't seem to be able to hold up to the Roughers Pressure.
Glenn's Gorillas had a problem with Emmett Smith their newly acquired quarterback from the Reddog Roughers lineup. Emmett could not get a thing going this week at all. Rumors have been flying around that Coach Wagner made Emmett sign a contract not to score against the Roughers.
Coach Wagner responded, "I am not going to confirm nor deny that ridiculous accusation. What Emmett and I do in private is between us. This is a political witch hunt to hurt my chance to comeback and win the superbowl! If I don't win the superbowl that just proves it!"
Last but not least (I think), Coach Plunkett's momentum has tapered off and lose to No-Shows who have been playing with their coach on vacation. Coach Johnson of the No-Shows didn't even know who they had as quarterback.
Plunk's Pack may still be able to steal the Western Division Trophy (extra helping and the annual awards banquet) away from the Rebel Rousers if they can beat Terrell and the Papa's AND Rebels lose to the Coach Wagner. This would make the Rebels and Pack tied in the number of wins and losses. According to the points coming from the commissioner last showed that Coach Plunkett is the leader by 67 points.
"Hey! Anything is possible." Commented Coach Wagner. "With my players finally getting warmed up, the Pack has a pretty good chance to make become Champion of the West."
"Hold your pooches there Coach Reddog!" exclaimed Coach of the Rebel Rousers. "My total points are wrong. I should have more points than Coach Plunkett."
If that is the case then Coach Rachel has already secured her victory over the Western Division and is just trying to stay in there to become the new league champion, which according to the "Comeback Kid" is not going to happen.
I feel a recount and retaliation coming with in the next week. So stay tuned and don't fumble your way through life.
