Roughers In, Jock Out!

Rating: PG

Announcer: Welcome, sports fans! It has been a wild ride in the Athlete's Football Times Fantasy Football League, and it is not over yet! Jock Reporter has been suspended for one game, and we here at AFT Sports News Central (SNC) are proud to bring your the highlights of the beginnings of the playoffs. I now take you to our reporters in the field Bill Easly from the East coast and Johnny Goode our resident surfer from California.

Goode: What's Up MC! This is Johnny Goode reporting from somewhere in California, and have we got a most excellent wave building in the Western Division. Coach Wagner with the help of the Roughers have been layin' low for most of the season, but are now riding the wave in as Coach Rachel of the Rebels wipe out early two weeks in a row only losing by one point. What is it with this chick! Like the Pack, on the other hand, under the most scholarly coaching of Coach Plunkett is still hanging in there. It is like going to come down to the wire Monday Night as the San Francisco players fight it out most vigorously against Detroit. Now let's go to our Dude in New York for like his play on the situation. How's it hangin' Bill.

Easly: Good, Goode. From AFT SNC this is Bill Easly in New York. The scores are not as close in the Eastern Division. A matter of fact, it has been pretty boring as the Eastern Division championship has been decided for weeks. Coach Christine of the No-Shows will walk away as the undisputed champions in this division. However, the fate of who goes on to the Superbowl, as you know Goode, is still up in the air.

Goode: Totally true, Bill. Like the Roughers could end up as superbowl champs. Glenn's Gorillas could like steal the league championship as well, wouldn't you say Bill?

Easly: Exactly. However, I think it would be very exciting to have the superbowl between the Roughers and the Papa's. The Papa's being the underdogs, not because of their ranking in the league, but that they have not beaten the Roughers all season. That I would pay money to see.

Goode: Oh Dude. Excel---lent!

Easly: Well put. But back to the Eastern Division and the final results going into Monday Nights game. The Pack in the West is only one point behind Papa's with 21 points. This win or lose doesn't mean too much to either team, as the Pack was not able to pull enough points from Freeman of Green Bay or Walls from Carolina to give them the boost they needed to take the Western Division championship away from Coach Rachel even with their loss to the Roughers. The pack still has Rice and Young playing that could knock the Roughers out of the playoffs altogether. But neither Coach Wagner nor Coach Plunkett are giving the Pack's Rice much credit for his catching ability this week. It looks really good for the Roughers Goode.

Goode: Yeah Dude. Like the Roughers have really made quite an impact in the league after they told many old timers to hit the road. Like they axed Brunnell of Jacksonville just before he got hurt. Wouldn't you agree, Bill?

Easly: Oh definitely. Roughers even had a hand in getting Jock Reporter suspended for false statements that were made against their Coach. Let us take a look at the required apology that Coach Wagner forced Jock Reporter to make.

Jock Reporter (TAPED): First just let me say that I am very sorry for the embarrasment that I put Coach Wagner through by telling the Coach of the Rebel Rousers that it was his idea to print her statement telling Coach Wagner to hold his poodles. It was not his idea. I am deeply sorry and regret my actions.

Goode: Duuude. . . That was like totally awesome. Coach Wagner really made him say that. Whoa. I would just like to say that I have always been for the Roughers and Coach Wagner all season. But like what about Coach Rachel's allegation that she was misquoted?

Easly: (shuffling papers) there doesn't seem to be any mention of that anywhere in the agreement or that it is being investigated.

Goode: Like it is that time again. We gotta split. This dude is like shouting in my ear to wrap it up. Surfs up, and as my Professor says, "enjoy life! "

Easly: This is Bill Easly wrapping it up in New York. For all you armchair quarterbacks out there, run one in from the 50.

Announcer: This has been an Athlete's Football Times special report from SNC. stay tuned for next week as we answer the question, "Will the Roughers Rebel, or will the Rebels get Rough?"
