Roughers and Rebels at it yet again as they end the first round of the playoffs in a tie.
Rebels went into last nights Denver game ahead by only two point with their quarterback, Elway, and tight-end, Sharpe, to keep their lead over Coach Wagner.
The Roughers only needed one touchdown from their wide-receiver, McCaffrey. The problem and tension came about when Coach Wagner and his fans realized to get a touchdown out of McCaffrey, Rebels quarterback would have to pass him the ball.
Luckily for Coach Wagner, Denver took out Elway and pout in Bruester for a two-point conversion play. McCaffrey caught the ball in the endzone bringing the playoff game to a dreaded tie.
Coach Wagner immediately jumped to his feet to call our esteemed commissioner for his ruling in this tie breaker situation.
The Commish responded, "if the game could not be decided on the field, we used the tie breaker and that started with most points scored during the season."
As you know, the Reddog Roughers only acquired about half the point this season as Rebel Rousers. Coach Wagner was worried. He hated to suffer alone in this instance so his next call was to his rival Coach Rachel to tell her that he was now tied and threatening to take the win away from her.
It came down to the very last play with both teams clinching the arm rests on their favorite recliner. Coach Wagner and his Reddog Roughers only needed one more point, and Coach Rachel and her Rebels needed Elway to make a touchdown pass with anyone but McCaffrey. Of Course, no one scored after that last two-point conversion play.
If you remember last season, this almost same thing plagued the Reddog Roughers in both the Superbowl and its sudden death tie breaker against Coach Christine's No-Shows. This ended the season with both the Roughers and No-Shows sharing the 1997 championship.
Last night at the end of season party Coach Christine had been rooting for Coach Wagner's Roughers. Could it be she wants to have a rematch with the Roughers to determine once and for all who the best team is?
Coach Wagner had another theory and stated, "It's more likely that Coach Christine wants the Rebels and her high scoring players out of the way. My Reddog Roughers have not really been high point producers all season could be easily beaten depending on what players Coach Christine use."
If the Roughers fail to win the tie breaker, Coach Christine and Coach Rachel will go on to the superbowl. It will be a giant leap for women everywhere, and prove that football is not just for men anymore.
There is one more thing that may possibly arise in the tie breaker. The Commish states, " If Elway throws to McCaffrey. . . and leave it to these 2 to have that
happen. . . that is discarded and we would move to the second score."
Coach Wagner Responded, "You know the Rebels and Roughers sure do make other fantasy football leagues pail in comparison. It has been fun and challenging to go up against Coach Rachel time and time and time and time again. If they do beat the Roughers, I will retire the Reddog Roughers as the Leagues Ultimate Underogs and back the Western Division 100 percent!"
