Papa's, Rebels Start off with a Bang!

Rating: PG

Papa's ends up on top of the league with 57 points in the first round of the season thanks in large part to Terrell Davis.

On the other side of the league, Rebel Rousers had a great showing Sunday night with a possible 44 points depending on who she played this week. Coach Rachel's opponent only received a possible 39 points with Coach Plunkett's kickers and wide receivers, Rice and Freeman, rackin' up the score for the Pack.

"There is no way Glenn' Gorillas could win!" Commented Coach Robertson as the Papa's had set the win out of reach of Coach Muske the night before.

Going into the Monday night's game Coach Robertson only had to worry about, his running back, Terrell Davis securing his standing on top of the league.

The league champions last year ended up on the bottom of the league in the first week with No-Shows scoring a possible 32 points, depending on who Coach Johnson played, over the Reddog Roughers meager score of 21.

"I am not worried," stated Coach Wagner, "I started out the same way last year and look where I ended up. I see this as being another rebuilding midseason."

Coach Wagner's tight end (not saying he is or has a tight ass), Ben Coates had gotten hurt twice during last night's game between the Patriots and the Broncos at Mile High Stadium. This is could be what he means by a "rebuilding midseason." However, Coach Wagner showed his expertise by selecting the players who scored the highest on his team.

The special investigation of unwarranted segregation of the married and unmarried couples has been dismissed even after heated debate on the issue last week.

"That it is by mere chance that married coaches are in one league and unmarried in another. . . " stated the Commissioner as he dismissed the investigation as the Western Division's attempt to distract the Eastern Division, ". . .(these allegations) detract from the product of the league and gets the owners into spending time defending themselves when they need to concentrate on football. That is our business and that is where we should spend our time."

Coach Wagner responded, "Coach Plunkett brings up a good point. However, I am the only true "unfettered", or free coach of the whole league."

The investigation found no inclusive evidence of exclusive coupling in the East league.

With negative attacks on both sides of the league, both the East and West divisions had a good showing thanks to the Coach Rachel's Rebel Rousers and Coach Robertson's Papa's. It is hard to predict this early who will come out on top especially with Coach Wagner's "rebuilding," but these two teams seem to have an advantage if their players can stay off the injured list.
