Rating: NGfR (Not Good for Roughers)
Coach Wagner had no comment today coming out a disappointing weekend only acquiring 15 points. Coach Wagner would have almost doubled his score if he would have switched kickers.
Vinietiri (NE) scored 12 points. This would have brought Rougher's score to 27 forcing Plunk's Pack to come up with more than one pass from their quarterback.
However, Plunks Pack pulverizes Roughers (0-2) as they rake in 24 points without their quarterback from San Francisco. This makes Coach Plunkett's team 1-1 for the season after Rebels ransacked them last week.
Unfortunately Glenn's Gorillas didn't have a chance against the Rebels Sunday. Coach Rachel's tight end (. . .not what you were thinking. . .), Sharpe from Denver, and their Kicker from Kansas City (Stoyanvich) racked up more than half their points that nearly equaled Coach Glenn's only 26 points.
The biggest upset had to be the No-Shows Sunday as they reached 44 points mainly from Barry Sanders (Det), Robert Smith (Minn), and the kick from Dallas who also kept Denver from basically shutting Dallas out Sunday afternoon.
Coach Robertson and his Papa's was couldn't have been happier with the three touch downs his player, Terrell Davis (Den), made against Dallas. He still has a shot of remaining undefeated if his San Francisco Player, Hearst, can score at least 3 rushing touchdowns.
As we look into our magic football between our Athlete's Foot................
- I predict another Roughers famous midseason trade to get rid of Trent Dilfer.
- I predict Emmett Smith will play better for the 8 weeks Troy Aikman is recovering from his broken Clavicle.
- I predict that the West Vs the East will be..........Rebels vs. No Shows
- I predict that Coach Wagner will have something to say about that last prediction in the next issue followed by Coach Robertson.
- I predict that Denver will start passing more to score upsetting Coach Robertson's ranking in the East.
- I can almost promise that the Roughers Midseason trade will give Dilfer and Tampa Bay their walking papers.
Rankings:
Papa's (1-1)-NUMBER ONE! or (2-0)-UNDEFEATED!
No-Shows (1-1) or (0-2)-and at the bottom of the East League
Gorillas (1-1) somewhere under Papa's
Rebels (2-0) UNDEFEATED!
Pack (1-1) LUCKY!
Roughers (0-2) UN-UNDEFEATED. . .
Play ball and don't believe anything you read . . . and you read it here first.
