Roughers Rock, Rebels Roll

Rating: G

The Reddog Roughers beat the Papa's and rock the house with the highest score of the week as many other coaches succumb to player injuries.

Rebels Coach Rachel was IRing (putting players on the Injured Reserve list) so many players that it might have been easier just to throw all her players back and started from scratch. Even with her teams injuries injuries, Coach Rachel was able to beat her opponent, Coach Christine Johnson, and also the only other female coach of the AFT-HES North Wing League.

Coach Plunkett commented, "Not that I am a sexist or anything, but I am a little concerned about these women coaches coming in and winning (the first two games). On the other hand, if I don't, I must admit that I am rooting for the woman coach of the Rebels."

Plunks Pack could not bring in even half of the points of their opponent, Glenn's Gorillas, this week and lose.

Coach Johnson responded, "I think there is a conspiracy out there against the No-shows. I want to go on the record saying two things. Barry Sanders is BACK! He did just as well as . . . (Terrell Davis) . . . And I'm very proud of the way my team performed last week."

This independent investigator declines Coach Plunkett's and Coach Johnson's inquiry for an investigation. However, there are rumors of that a videotape exists that could prove a famine conspiracy.

"D' Girls may not have scored great this week, but I remind you that the women keep the top rankings in the league." Commented Coach Wagner.

Coach Wagner, on the other hand, started out the season with the lowest score and ranking in the East and West Divisions. It is rumored that he is starting his mid-season re-draft early. There is no secret that he is utterly disappointed with Dilfer's scoring this season.

"Coach Rachel and Coach Wagner are about to drive this Commish CRRRAAAAZZZY!" Screamed the Commissioner Tuesday Evening as he was bombarded by Injured Reserved lists from both players.

Coach Wagner Responded, "All I want to do is put a scare in to Dilfer and get him to score as consistently as he did last season. I am bringing Vinnie Testeverde in as a replacement for Dilfer for two weeks."

That may just work if the Roughers can acquire Testeverde. I cannot forget the problems created last season when they tried to bring him on their roster. Will Coach Plunkett set back and let this trade happen and what decision will the Commissioner come up with?

"Coach Plunkett can make as much noise as he wants about this trade. Let him bring in his agent, Arlis. Let him bring in King Kong (if he doesn't have a contract with the Gorillas this season)." Stated Coach Wagner, "Just remember what happened last year when acquiring Testeverde was contested (How do you think I ended up with Dilfer and in the 1997 championships?)."

There have been a lot of complaints about Tight-ends in the league as only a handful of players in this position has brought their coaches consistent points each week.

Coach Wagner responded, "I only have to worry about the tight ends brought about from sitting in those uncomfortable university chairs, since I brought in Tightend, Daemon Jones, of Jacksonville to fill the void that Pittsburgh and Bruener created."
