Quarterback's Shuffle
The top quarterbacks in the NFL came together to strut their stuff Saturday in a contest of speed and accuracy.
The younger quarterback, Gus Ferrote, who did not do to well at this event last year almost squeezed a way with trophy only to be beaten by one point by the "more mature" Jim Haubaugh from Tennessee Oilers.
Gus Ferrote showed great speed and long range accuracy this weekend. Haubaugh was just a couple of seconds faster to grab the victory in a tiebreaker at the end of the competition.
Ferrote had a temporary slot on the Reddog Roughers team last year thanks to Coach Wagner. "I like to give the youngsters in this game a shot. . . One of them could surprise you and become NFL's next Most Valuable Player." Stated Wagner.
Ryan Leaf who demonstrated one of the passing events showed Fantasy Football coaches everywhere that he had a "on-target" short pass.
AFT picks from Saturday's competition:
Dilfer -TB (Roughers)
Kordel Stewart - Pitt (???)
Farve - GB (Cheesheads)
Bledsoe - NE (Plunk's Pack)
Young - SF (Papa's)
Elvis Grbac - KS (Not Chosen)

Speaking of young talent on the field, I have been wondering just exactly why Coach Plunkett actually excepted his trade to California. I think I have the answer:
"The Plunk-etts: Now accepting applications in sunny California"
