"Is Coach Rachel really trying to get sympathy from you 'Guys' or just trying to blend in with this 'elite group'!" exclaimed an inflamed fan.

No one knows who this mysterious fan is, but she claims to be an Okie and is the first outside person to root for one of our teams. She showed her wonderful taste in her comment to this reporter, "Love your newsletter waiting for me in my email box. Keep up the great reporting!"

As you have been reading, our new coach of the Rebel Rousers has been living up to the name. She is immodestly been against the league's usual practice of reserving a couple of players from last season.

"THAT IS SOOOOOOOOOOOOO WRONG!" responded Coach Rachel as she accosted one of our most (or almost) respected coaches, Coach Wagner, yesterday.

According to Coach Wagner who looked very shaken up after the incident that all he remembered was her saying something like, "Okay, you've had your fun......."

It is rumored that she has been organizing picket lines for the 1998 draft pick. I don't know who would start a rumor like that, but I would be watching out for anything from those Rebel Rousers. I will be encouraging the Commish to provide accurate security for his coaches during the draft.

Negotiations have put several proposals on the table, but as to this date this reporter's first compromise still stands in agreement between the new coach and the Commish. All past coaches will be allowed to save one player from last year, but Coach Rachel will get be number one in the draft and will be able to recruit two players as Coach Plunkett did last year also being first in the draft. The rest of the coaches will draw for other rankings with all those not present having the Commish draw for them.

The draft is being tentatively scheduled for Monday, August 31, 1998 at 6:30p.m. (CST) / 4:30p.m. (EST) at Coach Glenn's house or through the chat room at www.ionet.net/~warwick. This was scheduled after hearing from 4 out of the 6 coaches who responded. If there is a problem, please respond.

Coach Wagner has agreed to make his Lasagna, or we can order pizza. Also, please respond if you can bring drinks or snacks.
