Mamas Didn't Let their Players get Beaten by Kowboys

New coaches, Lori and Kris, share the first win of the season with top teams of the AFT 1998 league.

Mamas came out strong with a former Reddog Rougher, Ed McCaffrey from Denver, with three touchdowns against Miami. This allowed new Coach, Lori, to lasso the win away from Kev's Kowboys and her Western Division.

Former Commissioner Glenn commented, "I just want to know if the person who had Aikman played him this week. It seems like a logical move to me."

She did and Coach Kevin's Kowboys also gave the Mamas using their Quarterback form Dallas, Troy Aikman. He scored 15 points mainly to Coach Wagner's Tight End LaFuer, which did not get played this week.

Coach Kris, also of the Eastern Division, narrowly escaped the agony of defeat by Coach Robertson's Papas and showed how Farfegnugen can be applied on the field as well as the Volkswagen. Most of the Farfegnugens contributed to their win, which is more than we can say for the Papas. Unfortunately for Coach Robertson, their star runningback, Terrell Davis of Denver, had the back seat to the Mamas wide receiver Monday Night.

Coach Johnson was late to get her roster to the new Commissioner Miguel Thursday, but due to overwhelming paper work and scrambling to figure out a reliable scoring system she was excused and allowed to play her roster submitted Friday evening.

"She is probably has such a good team that she doesn't care who plays - they're all winners! Good thing I am not playing her this week!" commented Coach Robertson.

The continuing battle within the East between the team formerly known as the "NoShows" and team newly known as the Fierce Federalies was disappointing loss to Coach Wagner with the Federalies.

"Losing the first game of the season is not too bad. . . " Stated Coach Wagner, ". . . but to lose with a score of 3 (from his Denver Kicker, Elam)."

This battle is between the two is not over by a long shot as Coach Wagner commented, "This will be the Season that I will beat Coach Johnson and Overshadow our tie for the 1997 AFT Championship"

And Finally we get to another heated battle of the top two teams in the Western Division, Rebel Rousers and Plunks Pack.

Coach Commented after the game, "I guess I got my butt kicked this weekend. You can guarantee I will be out for blood next week (against the WildCats)."

Once again Coach Rachel showed her stunning abilities to draft and play the NFLs highest scorers. Of course, The Rebels return to the Field with their 1998 quarterback, Bret Farvre from Green Bay, but also pick up a new player to the AFT League, runningback Duce Staley. Staley brought in two touchdowns that helped to Triple Coach Plunkett's measly 8 points.

"Whipped in the relationship, and now (Coach Plunkett) is whipped in football - kind of pathetic." stated Coach Rachel.

Coach Rachel better watch out though because Coach Lori is starting out 1999 as the Rebels did last season. These two teams are the favorites and week 7 will be very interesting when they match off against each other.

However, Coach Lori's Mamas may have to look for another wide Receiver since theri draft choice from Green Bay, Rob Brooks has retired. She will also need to be looking for another backup quarterback since Testiverde is out for the rest of the season as well due to an injury Sunday.

As you know one of our past coaches, Coach Muske, was not able to attend the 1999 Draft and viewing this season as a fan on the sidelines.

"It will be interesting not to have to worry about what my own team of misfits is doing all of the time. Now I can just comment on the other coaches abilities." stated former AFT Coach Muske.
