Hagel Trainer Giles: German Genialität (ingenuity)

Coach Wagner's Federalies fall short of halting the Farfegnugens as they continue to hold the number one position for the fifth straight week.

Coach Giles's Farfegnugens teased the Federalies Sunday night by only scoring 22 points this weekend. Coach Wagner went into Sunday night's game with 17 points and two player from Washington and a quarterback from Arizona to try to make the Germans to retreat to second place. However, the night ended without a single score.

"All I needed was 6 measly points." Stated Coach Wagner as he slammed his fist to the podium at the Federalies press conference after the game. It was too bad that his quarterback Jake Plummer of Arizona didn't get to share a touchdown pass that was intercepted taken to the endzone by Washington.

At the Conference Coach Wagner rambled on about how his laid back attitude was about to come to an end. Later that evening Coach Wagner was over heard yelling from his office, "Get me Tennessee and Denver on the phone! I am going to make a few changes during midseason and I don't care what kind of bad publicity it got me last year! At least I wasn't 0-6!"

On the quieter side of the league, Mamas succumb to the Pack's mighty Coach Plunkett. Coach Plunkett was last seen heading to a new vacation bungalow south of the boarder to recruit the next millennium talent using his brilliant coaching mind to capture the win by only one point. I like the way his mind works (. . . and did I mention that I also like Mexican food).

Most of Kev's Kowboys were shooting blanks this weekend as they let Coach Robertson's Papas walk away with the victory. This win could have been the turn around that might have propped Coach Kevin out of 5th place.

Coach Rachel's Rebel Rousers pull out a narrow victory over the Wildcats this weekend only to sink farther in the ranking because of the lack of high scoring weeks that made her rookie of the year last season. With Coach Rachel's win this week it breaks a three week tie between the Eastern Division and the western Division and give the West something to brag about for the week.

"The West can brag all they want," commented Coach Wagner, "but the Eastern Division team, Farfegnugens, is still the #1 team in the league."

The Coach duo of Robertson & Robertson capture third and fourth place right behind Farfegnugens and The illustrious Pack.

Here are a list of the rankings going into week 7:

Farfegnugens (5-1-0)
Pack (5-1-0)
Mamas (3-3-0)
Papas (3-3-0)
WildCats (3-3-0)
Rebels (3-3-0)
Kowboys (2-4-0)
Federalies (0-6-0)
